On top of the world

Two thousand five hundred and forty six metres above sea level.

And my goodness what a view.

We could see Jungfrau, the mountain we had a snowball fight on in 2007. Oeschinensee, the lake we swam in two days before. Kandersteg, the village we were camping in. And much more.

It was the clearest day our guide had ever seen from the top of Bunderspitz in the Bernese Alps. It was well worth the climb up, and the climb back down, even with a forty minute section along a shale path with a shear drop to the right.

That evening, after showering, resting and eating loads, a group of us Explorers went into the “Eco Adventure Room” in which we had played Twister in earlier in the week.

In this room, there was a piano, a bongo drum and a four-stringed guitar (which had four strings in 2007…).

These instruments, together with spontaneity and high spirits, formed the unique, brutal lyrical masterpiece of Chlamydia Sound
